Job Vacancy: Parent and Toddler Supervisor – you will work part time in the Parent and Toddler group and will be required to provide cover in the Pre - School and Nursery as a support practitioner –  you will not have key children –  your role in the setting is to cover supervisions, team sickness, team training and team administration time.
Start Date: September 2017 (exact date to be confirmed)
Hours: Parent and Toddler – Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings – 08.45am – 12.15pm. Hours in the Pre-School: Tuesday and Thursday 08.45am – 12.10pm. Monday and Friday 12.30pm – 3.45pm.
Salary: Level 2 Qualified £7.50 per hour and Level 3 £7.75 per hour
Two References will be required and a Clear DBS check will be required
You will work with and support parent volunteers, who in turn will support you in the running of the parent and toddlers group.
Duties: -  Complete a daily risk assessment and be aware of health and safety issues
·         Be a first aider
·         Monitor and maintain safe working practices – must be aware of health and safety
·         Have an awareness of safeguarding children
·         Must have a food hygiene certificate or be willing to complete food hygiene training before starting the job if successful at interview as will be responsible for preparing snack and ordering snack
·         Have an understanding of the needs of parents thereby enabling an appropriate guidance and supportive framework to be developed
·         Be aware of the Early Years Foundations Stage Curriculum
·         Be able to plan activities, circle time activities and organise special events for parents and their children
·         Be aware of the needs of children aged from 0 to 5 years
·         Be able to keep basic accounts and receive fees
·         Be able to order resources
·         Be able to work within a team and share information with the line manager and or the Army Welfare Service
·         Maintain all aspects of confidentiality
·         You will not be responsible for the direct responsibility of children attending the Parent and Toddler group on the premises as parents or carers will be in attendance and are therefore responsible for their own children –  you are responsible to ensure the activities are safe, age appropriate and the environment is safe
·         You would be directly responsible for children attending the pre - school and nursery
·         Be able to maintain a fire register
·         You will be expected to set up resources and equipment, clean, tidy and store away correctly the resources and equipment at the end of each session
·         Other duties that may be asked by the line manager from the pre - school and nursery or the Army Welfare Service

Qualifications: Early Years Level 2 or 3, Safeguarding Children Training, Food Hygiene certificate and first aid certificate. If you do not have these additional qualifications, training can be accessed for the correct candidate upon employment.
